The AFL-CIO affiliate the Central Mississippi Central Labor Council and the Jackson People’s Assembly, which organizes community forums, will host a “civics town hall” to provide voting information and training in Jackson at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2026.
The event, which is open to the public, will be held at 760 North West Street, Suite B, to inform attendees about laws governing voter registration, voter ID and other issues affecting Mississippi voters in 2026, including the SHIELD Act.
