Special legislative elections tomorrow
With Republicans holding supermajority in legislature, special elections will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025
The special election for 14 seats was ordered after a federal court determined that lawmakers diluted Black voting strength when redrawing districts. A sample ballot from the Mississippi Secretary of State’s Office can be found here. Four of the seats are not contested and three of the candidates have already been elected.
